Has it been a long week at work? Has your man in your life been nagging you? Have you been getting irritated at the littlest things? Did you realize you have not had a night out “on the town” in a while? If you have answered “yes” to ANY of these questions it’s time to call your close girlfriends and go out! You’re going to take the town by storm.
Whether you are a single lady in your 20’s or a married woman with children in your late 40’s, girl’s night out is detrimental to not only your happiness but also your health as well. In a 2002 study by UCLA, found “girlfriends are stress-busters for women and have an impact on overall mood.” It seems that when we’re around friends, the mood-elevating hormone oxytocin is released, increasing our feelings of euphoria.
Girl’s night out is also crucial to our sanity because every once in a while we need to escape from our everyday life and remember what it feels like to laugh and have fun. Girl’s night out is your time to forget about all your responsibilities (work, school, kids, husband, cleaning…the list can go on and on and on…) and relax and get caught up with your girlfriends. Girls night out is important because you and your girlfriends have a lot of the same issues and can relate to each other in a way that really cannot be explained.
It’s time to plan your Girl’ Night Out! Need some ideas? We have thought of three fun ideas for a night on the town! Let us know your favorite “girl’s night out” plans!
