Look around your home and you might find things that can help you. The great thing about these products is that they are all natural. That means that cannot cause you any harm. Some of these products you just have lying around the house not knowing what it can help you with. Here are 6 natural ingredients everyone should have in their home. Do you have them?
Witch Hazel – Known for its face cleansing properties. My grandmother used this to help bug bites stop itching. It tones your skin well too. It also helps with getting rid of bags under your eyes. Mix some with Aloe Vera to relieve hemorrhoid itch. You can even use it to stop bleeding. It is truly one magical ingredient.
Aloe Vera – Have dry skin? Use Aloe Vera to moisturize those dry areas. It also helps with dry, itchy, scaly skin. Mix some with oatmeal to make a natural facemask. Burned your finger while you were taking the cupcakes out of the oven? Use some Aloe Vera to soothe the burn. Drinking some can also soothe your stomach lining and help with ulcers.
Lavender Oil – It can be used for cooling sprays, sleeping aids, and as a deodorant. I call it the versatile oil. It is used as an anti-bacterial cleanser too. Relieve stress by rubbing a bit on the back of your ears, and wrist. Had a late night partying but have to go to work early and do not have the time to change clothes; dab a few drops on your clothes to hid the smell.
Apple Cider Vinegar – Not the one used to make Salt & Vinegar chips. Even though the smell is strong you still want to take advantage of all of its helpful properties. Since it is loaded with enzymes and bacteria that are beneficial for your body it will help with digestion. Use it as a mouthwash: 2 teaspoons mixed with a small cup of warm water. Gargle those germs away. Use some in your hair as a rinse to help get rid of dandruff and give your hair a natural shine in the process.
Tea Tree Oil – This oil is not to be ingested. That means DO NOT EAT IT! It has antimicrobial properties which help with acne, toenail and fingernail fungus, and bug bites. I add a few drops to my shampoo to help cool off my dry scalp and get rid of dandruff.
Epsom Salt – Pour yourself an Epsom Salt bath and relax your tired body in it. Soaking in Epsom Salt three times weekly can help with arterial health, and lower stress. It is great for sore muscles. Use some in your heels to help with smelly feet or sweaty feet. You can even use it exfoliate your face, feet, and body. Get rid of blackheads too with it.
If you do not have any of these items in your house then I am going to assume you just moved in. Kidding aside, go out and purchase them all. They will make your life 6 times better. Just do not mix them all together. I do not know if it is bad to do it, but I suggest you do not find out.
